What Balayage & Highlights Include

Balayage is a freehand painting technique that creates soft, natural dimension without harsh lines. Highlights use foils to lift and brighten specific sections for more contrast and sparkle. Both services can be tailored to your natural color, your maintenance comfort level, and how bold or subtle you want to go.

I work with all hair colors and lengths — from fine, delicate hair that needs a light touch to thick, dark hair that needs a more strategic approach to lift.

What to Expect

Every new client starts with a consultation. We'll talk through your inspiration, assess your hair history, and build a plan around what your hair can actually do — not just what a photo looks like.

Balayage and highlights involve lightening, so your starting point matters. I'll always be upfront about what's achievable in one appointment and what might take a staged approach to keep your hair healthy.

Timing and pricing depend on your hair length, density, and how much lightening is involved.

  • Balayage and highlights are lower maintenance — not no maintenance

  • Toners fade over time and may need refreshing between lightening appointments

  • Grow-out is intentional and gradual, not harsh
